A few words from Kerri-Ann on her journey so far, her future goals and how our sponsorship will help:
“I am an XTERRA triathlete based in Exeter, Devon. Following a consistent and successful summer of triathlon racing in 2022 I will be stepping up from the amateur ranks and competing as an elite for the first time!
The area of triathlon that I specialise in is known as XTERRA or Cross Triathlon, these triathlon events are composed of the traditional swim, bike and run disciplines but with a twist … the bike section is off-road using a mountain bike and the run section is a trail run. Typically, the distances covered are 1500m of swimming, 30km mountain biking and a 10km trail run. The courses are incredibly tough with steep climbs, technical sections and testing terrains. Over the summer of 2022 I managed to obtain a number of top results within the amateur field. My biggest achievement was taking the titles of World Champion and European Champion for both the off-road triathlon and off-road duathlon. In addition to this I won my age-group at XTERRA Prague and XTERRA Czech Republic, accumulating enough racing points to apply for an elite licence!
Heading into 2023 I am looking forward to my first season as an elite and I am really excited and grateful to have the support of Signscape and Signconex as I embark on this new and exciting journey. My first race of the season will be XTERRA Greece on 22nd April, so far my training is going really well and I’m looking forward to the year ahead!”
