Harrow Council identified a need for exterior illuminated noticeboards to promote community engagement within the borough. A key challenge was the capital cost, disruption, and potential increase in their carbon footprint in providing mains power for illumination.

As market leaders in solar powered noticeboards, Signscape and Signconex worked alongside one of our customers to supply Harrow Council with their Eco-Vison solar LED illuminated noticeboards. The project was a great example of our ability to design and manufacture the solar signage in-house, and manage the process from design through to installation, providing the finished sign both on budget and at the most competitive price.

The project required working closely with our customer on behalf of Harrow Council to establish their specific requirements with some bespoke components such as the colour with laser-cut header panels incorporating the Harrow Council Logo – internally illuminated by the same solar cells.

Eco-Vision is a solar-powered, LED-illuminated display cabinet for external use. It is maintenance-free, easy to install and has no running costs. Solar panels absorb daylight via the integrated photovoltaic solar panels which subsequently recharges an internal battery for use at night. The sign illuminates when approached, using its built-in movement sensor which conserves battery performance and life.

Eco-Vision noticeboards are made from premium and durable aluminium frames offering superior weather and vandal resistance designs. They also feature an integrated weather shield and premium gas struts.

We successfully installed Harrow Council’s new Solar Eco-Vision Noticeboards at 20 separate locations overcoming the challenges of differing groundworks requirements. The project was successfully delivered on time and on budget.
